A BIT MORE ABOUT ME…
Many of you know, I am a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA, retired) as well as a certified level 1 handwriting specialist and a certified infant/touch massage instructor. Even though I had an education, it didn’t teach me the steps on how to LIVE A FULL LIFE! I didn’t get this basic message from anything I was taught in school or even in college. It was not something I learned in the workforce. This message WASN’T there!
Sure, there were guidelines for exercise and a healthy diet. But what about my soul? What about my spirit? What about my mind, my thoughts, and my feelings? What about my emotions and all of those events that kept me frozen in time? That prevented me from realizing I am an AMAZING being or I am worthy of health, wealth, love, and happiness?
My life was a mess! To make a long story short, I did not practice proper self-care at any point in my life. I also did not have coping skills to process and release emotions not serving me. After the loss of my father when I was 23, I stuffed my feelings down. I again found myself grief-stricken after losing my maternal grandmother, my rock, in 2012. I was sick and tired after being diagnosed with multiple medical conditions starting that same year. I felt broken after a car accident in 2014. I felt stuck, limited, and disgusted with my financial situation and personal relationships.
As I immersed myself in the personal growth and self-development field, I realized that I was doing things all wrong! I needed to embrace my body, forgive my mind, love my soul, and honor my spirit! So, I began to nurture myself at every level to slowly heal. I noticed that these positive changes were improving all areas of my life. I kept up these new healthy habits which allowed me to make a permanent difference.
After I cleaned up my lifestyle, I had so many people ask me how I did it. I also realized there are many people living unfulfilled lives. So, I was inspired to create my 5-Step Process which includes Detox, Releasing Emotion, Mindset, Reprogramming Your Mind, and Exercise/Physical Activity. It is the foundation of my Healing Insights 70-Day Course and The 5-Step Process For Fibromyalgia Relief. I also developed The Wellness Plan, a monthly subscription plan to maintain lasting change, to apply the 5- Steps to daily life. I have written a book titled Be F*#%ing Amazing: 70 Healing Insights to Live Your Full Life which will be available in 2018!
